Bill Prep and Surveying Ltd have assisted many clients. Below Illustrates a few unusual situations where we were able to help:

Extension to Knauf offices in Sittingbourne, Kent

Our client, a national contractor, approached us on this project needing a favour. Due to internal illnesses works on their tender had not progressed on time. A bill was required within a week to enable a credible tender to be issued or our client would have to pull out of this project. Given Knauf were thought to be rolling out a number of developments nationally, declining to tender was not really an option. We were able to put a sizable team on the take off and managed to provide a very detailed builders quants bill within the 1 week timescale.

Development of 73 to 80 apartments in Battersea, London

Our client, an international contractor, was tendering for a complex apartment development including basement car parking and leisure facilities. They were required to submit 2 bids, 1 for 73 apartments and 1 for 80 apartments. We were able to fully bill the 80 apartment scheme and provide a separate addendum bill for the measured works adjustments to revert to the 73 apartment scheme at no extra cost and within our usual timescales for this type of work.

Construction of new motor cycle test facility in Basildon, Essex

Our client, a large building contractor, had to submit 2 prices for this scheme as 2 ground models were produced. The first set building levels which required all excavated arisings to be taken off site. The second kept all excavated material on site but as a consequence required retaining walls to be constructed and increased the levels of the buildings. We were able to produce a full bill for each option at a nominal extra cost within the usual timescale to produce one bill.

Redevelopment of Travis Perkins facility & industrial estate in Guildford, Surrey

Our client, a national contractor, was involved in a tender that had a very complex phasing issue due to the relocation of tenants, demolition of existing structures and construction of new structures whilst the industrial estate continued trading. We were able to produce individual bills for each phase which required a very good understanding of the interface between each phase.
